Small camera

Post by rocket »

Want to get a small hand held camera for the mrs . Anyone got any recommendations. She uses her phone camera all the time the photos are ok but a lot come out bad. I'm sure a decent camera would be a lot better has to be small enough to fit in your pocket. Cheers

Something like the Nikon Coolpix S6300 should be fine for most everyday uses.

Or the Canon Powershot. I've got one of those and it's easy enough to use.

We have the fore runner to this model and its an amazing camera. Bought it like you for family and holiday snaps and it truly delivers great results whether as a HD photo or 1080p video and the 18x optical zoom is extremely useful.

Very easy to operate and has a kids & pets setting which we use all the time as its that quick it gets pictures before they move.

There is also a smile setting which basically means point it at you kid and that spilt second they smile it automatically takes a photo without you pressing any buttons or needing to focus. Really useful feature IMO as you know how hard it is to get a good shot of the kids and you always ending up pressing the button a single millisecond after they move.

Here's some info on it.

And its only £99 at Amazon

+1 for the powershot. As Blade says they're very easy to use.
