Helicopter underwater escape training????
Jealous....that sounds like so much fun.
Is it upside down like the cockpit thing that dunks you in fighter training?? Those things are SOOO disorienting....epic fun, though.

Took Alex to University.
Its a strange feeling that for 18 years we have always been there beside him or close by to help if required but now he has to fend for himself as much as possible.

I know he will be fine but it's like the 'parenting' part of the brain has been turned down quite a few notches if you can understand what i am saying

It was Pendleton. I might 'allegedly' have puked in the pool after I got free of the stupid contraption....which pissed off some Lieutenant dude no end....kept wittering on about having to drain the whole pool to clean it up, which I seriously doubt.Blade wrote:Where did you do your drills D at Miramar
Odd that you mention Miramar though....my new flatmate is a former fighter pilot....I'll have to ask him if he went through there.....he prolly did....I think most of the SD Group are based out of there.
(Kinda sad that he still wears his frickin' flight jacket everywhere......I think he was er..."let go".....I don't really want to ask him about it.....yet).

Yup. It's a bit of a laugh. Some people freak right out but with my diving and actually working as a Safety Diver on HUET courses in the past it doesn't bother me in the least. We have to do it every 4 years to stay current.D41 wrote:Helicopter underwater escape training????

Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I have to admit....I kinda freaked out a bit. Try as I might, I just never seem to manage well in water....it'll sound a bit daft, but despite the size of the ocean, pool...whatever it is, I feel very claustrophobic when I'm submerged wearing any headgear........trunks and goggles are about my limit...anything else and I get VERY uncomfortable.....feels too restrictive.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Rode down to Epping to pick up a brand new Almax Series 3 chain and Squire padlock for the new bike from a 675.cc member. Great weather for it. 260 mile round trip as I detoured to get an alarmed disk lock too.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I had it in a Kriega tail pack. I stopped after a few miles to adjust the preload on the rear and it was great after that. Couldn't tell there was 40lb of chain and lock on the back.

Doing laundry duty the morning. Then fed the kids before going on a nice long Sunday stroll with the dog.

Dying from manflu, helping kids with home work, dying of manflu, chores, dying of manflu and trying to watch the odd race or too at Aragon motogp.
