That fuel tank change sounds like a very good improvement Andy.
Regarding the tip switch, I discovered that the one on my bike doesn't actually seem to work.: When I was rebuilding the front the other week I unbolted it to fit the new air intake tunnel & lockstop etc,,, Whilst it was loose I started my bike, & it ran fine with the tip module; upside down, on either side, nose down & shaken about whilst upside down.
