I don't think they've had a go on the race bikes yet.

The riders asked for improved wind protection, that's why they've changed the front fairing

Ah right. No feedback yet on twitter, neither of them have mentioned it apart from a photo each of the 2016 bike.

I believe the development has been led by Sykes and the changes made to areas like lightening thr crank were his request.

Expect Sykes to be close to JR in 2016.

I would love to be in Sykes position..

"This year's bike flexed too much over curbs in third gear so if you could make the chassis a little stiffer but keep it's suppleness that would be appreciated".

"I found the seat a little uncomfortable - please sort this out"

What an incredible job !!

It sounds like Kawasaki essentially let them build a road bike they could use to win races.

Lucky bastards.

Yeah pretty much. Lets not forget, we have BMW to thank for this for them bringing the S1000RR which caught the Japanese sleeping

I whole-heartedly agree with you.

All they would have done is fitted soft-damping suspension to make it comfortable for the road. It makes sense for manufactures to do this though, the less changes they have to make to a road bike to make a race bike, the more time they can spend fine tuning rather than experiementing !!

Wsbk rules now make it difficult to build a road bike that can go racing. Much easier to build a race bike you can make road legal. And if you want to win races it's the only way to go.
