Re: Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to all my Slapper mates. I'm stuck in the middle of the ocean till New Years Eve, so I expect you all to pull your weight and have a drink or two on my behalf
We have a slow down out here for Christmas day, only essential maintenance carried out. They put on pool/darts/wii bowling/PS car racing events and a few other festivities. Us in Ops still have to maintain process control and monitoring, and as the Utilities Tech my day won't really change much, as everyone is still using water, power and A/C, and the process still requires air, nitrogen, seawater cooling, diesel and biofouling. I just won't have to manage any major work campaigns. So I won't see much of the fun and games.
At least there will be a good lunch/dinner.

Re: Merry Christmas
Cheers mate.. I snuck in for a go on the car racing. They've set up a swift auto on the top gear track, i'm second on the ladder so far get 3 x 2 laps, still got two sessions to go. With no permits or isolations to do it's actually pretty quiet!Blade wrote:Enjoy the lunch kiwi mate you've earned it buddy.. Most of our gas is sold under contract to Japan, so it's probably cooking bloody whale!

Re: Merry Christmas
That's right I'm a northerner. I drink beer and p1$$ spirits. I fight at the works do and consider steak pie and chips cordon bleu, with a nice cup of char of course were not animals after all. If we have a snowballs in these parts it's made from solid ice and is travelling in excess of 30mph straight into someones mush. Yellow p1ss in the back of your grandpas booze cabinet is exactly that, old peoples pi$$ and your welcome to it.rocket wrote:your a northerner and don't know what a snow ball is :-O get moved down south !!!Blade wrote:I've heard of it but what the hell is it ?Monty wrote:Just opened the Advocaat
