Re: Heated clothing
on the Keiss vest I have and it's brilliant, mine has the controller so you can regulate the heat and like Jack says you can buy a battery for it to run off as well, I plug mine into the bike as it is wired up for it , the collar is heated as well ...toasty !!

Re: Heated clothing
They sound pretty cool (excuse the pun) as you can obviously have it on full heat on a cold morning and as the temp increases regulate the temp down and eventually off and in doing so ride in leathers in late autumn.
How much are they and how bulky is the battery pack ?

Re: Heated clothing
I got the bigger battery with mine and it is a fairly chunky bit of kit but it fits in its own internal pocket , I use the vest wired while on the bike and on battery when taking photo's trackside etc , battery lasts all day on low-medium heat and about 6 hrs full on but its generally too hot on full whack

Re: Heated clothing
I don't blame you to be honest. It's horrible when you feel the cold creep in during a ride

Re: Heated clothing
I've also got the heated gloves that plug into the vest - you can also plug in some heated insoles , but I don't have those , the gloves are great for me as they are designed to go under your normal gloves so are very thin which means I can use them while shooting .

Re: Heated clothing
Like others I've paid my dues on all weather riding and tbh your reaction times slow when your cold especially hands, go for it I say and hang the naysayers. I've used heated gloves and a heated waistcoat and they're great, I'd never ride in cold weather without the gloves again and the waistcoat keeps your back and kidneys warm and stops the cold from distracting you, plus your muscles work better warm than cold. It's a no brainer imho.

Re: Heated clothing
I've had a heated vest for ages, brilliant piece of kit. Wear it whenever, keeps the kidneys warm and there's a huge blood flow round them so it spreads everywhere.

Re: Heated clothing
Someone is selling an Oxford heated vest, battery and charger for £50. Worn twice. He's got all the packaging and labels. Size XL.

Re: Heated clothing
I just got the keis x25 jacket.. not had a ride in it yet but just plugging it in and started engine to he honest can't feel a thing. Sat for 5 mind waiting to see if gets hotter but kinda just about warm.. and did wear under my outer coat so all was compressed nicely so can't excuse not having snug fit.
Does this gradually get hot or is this as good as it gets? If so it's going back.
Cheers

Re: Heated clothing
The waistcoat I've used takes under 5 mins to feel warm using it's own battery and my Gerbing gloves are warm inside a minute using the bikes power.
I'm guessing you've double checked you've got power to the jacket?
