Re: Motogp Lean Angle
Show-off!!
I did too....mine was at about 110mph....judging by the damage, the bike flipped twice....I can't read that damage another way....and believe me I've tried!.....looked like it slid on it's front end for quite some way, then came to a stop after a couple of twirls.

Nose over tail for me. I've got a photo somewhere showing the scuff marks all over the rear seat cowl.

This is what's 64 degrees looks like, and definitely would have us mere mortals falling off.

I'm sure I've seen that photo before, it's insane..
What surprised me the most is the difference, or lack of, between street bike and super bike.

Re: Motogp Lean Angle
My educated guess says it's got to be down to tyre profiles and compounds.. I guess the boys in the moto gp paddock have access to more prototype tyre compounds than the WSB boys..D6 wrote:so why can motogp beat WSB?

Re: Motogp Lean Angle
As Perkles says. Wsbk use a stock production frame the same as the road bike where motogp are full prototype chassis's with varying degrees of flex to maintain tyre grip at extreme lean angeles when the suspension is virtually redundant.Perkles wrote:Tyres and bespoke chassisD6 wrote:so why can motogp beat WSB?
