The pins on mine are rusted within 6 days on circuit. I clean the chain every 3 and give it a good spaffage of lube too. That's with the top notch DID chain.

Just started cleaning the chains on mine, i hate doing it and the sort of riding i do, i don't think there is much benefit other than looks.
I use Motul factory Line chain wax to lube it.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Finished cleaning both chains. They are now sparkely cleand lubed.
Then had a fiddle with the suspension on the ST3. I played around with it late last summer but wasn't entirely happy as, tho it was more comftable, it didn't feel balanced right.
I've now added a bit of compression on the rear and taken some off the front. Feels better balanced on a bounce test but will have to wait til i can try it on the road.

Polished the 999 then took it for a cheeky spin out to get some petrol. When I started it the other morning the petrol light came on so took this as an excuse to pop out.

Took the cover off, dusted it, rolled it round, started it and ran up to temperature, turned it back off and put the cover back on.

Got the Ducati MOT’d. It’s weird times when you have to leave the bike outside and they wait for you to walk away before taking the bike inside.
It does now tickover properly though needs a few a few revs to avoid stalling when pulling away which I guess is caused by the high compression the engine has.

I am quite surprised how much they have jumped in value over the last couple of years.
Anything worth having and doesn't need money spending on it is £5k now, even a basic 748 biposto.

That's a great photograph. You know it's an older bike, but it still looks fresh.
