The window sill took a hell of a lot longer than I thought. Its sanded down at least. May sand down the cupboard doors tomorrow.

Sanding, and the cleanup that goes with it, is the very worst part of painting. It'll drive you frickin' nuts.

I covered everything in sheets and yet still got dust and flaked paint chunks on the floor lol!D41 wrote:Sanding, and the cleanup that goes with it, is the very worst part of painting. It'll drive you frickin' nuts.

We don't bother with sheets anymore because of this very reason.Rossgo wrote:I covered everything in sheets and yet still got dust and flaked paint chunks on the floor lol!D41 wrote:Sanding, and the cleanup that goes with it, is the very worst part of painting. It'll drive you frickin' nuts.

I'm hoping it's fake grass, either that or lockdown is really getting to them...duke63 wrote:Our neighbour is currently vacuuming his lawn.

He is a dick. He spends all his time adding what i call a shanty shack to his conservatory. His circular saw anbd drill is going on and off all day every day in the garden. So few people seem to give a **** about anyone else these days.

With the weather at the moment, it takes 2 days before there's an orange film of dust over the car

Re: What are you doing today ??
Talking to my Wife last night and I told her something for the first time in a very long time... "I'm looking forward to work tomorrow"
I'm working down on a development rig, modelling a new extension piece and clamping method for some of our smaller meters.
Today is a good day.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I am, but last night was the first time I said it out loud to her, she was chuffed.
I'm very thankful to be working and I do enjoy the new job. I was beginning to get annoyed with being a newbie but now I've got something I can get my teeth into, my satisfaction has jumped up!
Please don't take anything bad from what I said, it's all positive!
I've been struggling emotionally for a while so I'm just trying to celebrate something good and share it with you all.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Cav, It's great to hear that you have found some job satisfaction, it's a great feeling and one that my own job lacks quite often.
Speaking of which i'm back to work today after 4 weeks off, 1 Holiday and 3 Furlough... I don't know how the life long unemployed do it... I'm actually really looking forward to seeing my colleagues again and earning my money.
I'm back for 2 weeks then off for another 3 but plans are still fluid so I will just deal with whatever comes along.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Checking out the new bullbar and winch
The place I got it fitted at, is about an hour into the city and I technically am supposed to be home isolating and it’s not an essential trip to head down there anyways.
But luckily the sales chick I was dealing with moved up to my area a few weeks ago so took my wagon to work yesterday, had all the work done and then delivered it to me last night. Now that is service!!
Was dark when it came back so was out this morning having a gander and playing tug of war with the kids vs winch
Looks really good with the underbody plates I fitted and all the winch control box is nicely tucked in behind the bar. Crap lighting in these photos but it’s a very overcast day

Driving to work in the rain.. I find it incredibly therapeutic.
I also find the Runway rear tyres on the car are appalling and frankly dangerous in the wet. I'm getting BMW levels of oversteer at ordinary speed.
