To be honest I am not overly fussed about that cars. I do keep them clean and they usually get polished once a year but they both cover decent miles all year round so paintwork gets a hard life.

Seal THEN Wax. Answer came from Chemical Guys, a high end cleaning product company.

Pretty much the same Duke, my new 4WD already has bush scratches down the sides from off-roading.

This is why I drive a C1, it's crap but cheap and reliable, if I need something bigger for a day then there are many hire companies who are willing to provide a bigger car for a day or two. It's also strangely satisfying hustling such a low powered car along at a decent rate of speed.

I spend a minimum amount of time cleaning the car, still annoying when it picks up car park dings but not too bad.
I spend an excessive amount of time cleaning the bike, you could eat off the thing and most car cleaning methods and products work really well on the bike... Even the pet dyer, which has never been used on a dog or a car

Yeah that's a good read. I used to get 4-6 weeks from wax on the Audi but that was on horrific paint.

I think I'll try wax over the top of sealant next time.

Being silver the paint doesnt look much different in daylight, (although it appears to give more contrast to the flake). At night, however, the paintwork looks awesome with all the sharp creases and edges.

Try Soft99 Fusso Wax, Cav cracking value and reviews suggest good durability.

Ironically despite the name it's not a wax it's a sealant

I used on the wifes car 2 months ago and the finish is still like when I first did it. The shine is good as you can see on my car.

I used that turtle wax ceramic spray on my bike and decided to take the chavvy stickers off the lower fairing
I cant get that stuff off ,even white spirits and panel wipe did nothing ,I am worried its got onto my tyres !

I've got a nearly full bottle of the Autoglym stuff to use first but I'll bear it in mind.

I will experiment with wax after I finish my meguiars stuff but that's nearly full too.

Do you use foam? I'm after a proper cannon as the one that comes with my pressure washer is too watery and you cant change the mixing levels. Just want a cheapo

You cant get the ceramic coating off?

Try IPA or what I have used to very good effect on many problem stains is a UPVC cleaner I got of a Glazer. Should be able to get some from a window fitters shop.

To be honest I dint like the shine the turtle wax gives and it leaves a greasy layer if you use a tiny bit to much which is very hard to judge when applying it

I've used the Fusso Wax to good effect as a final protection layer after a cleanse and polish with Bilt Hamber cleanser polish which you need to do or use a panel wipe or the Fusso wax wont bond to the paint.

Having watched that video Perkles, it seems like you need to wash and compound the car to get rid of ceramic coatings.

Also, ceramics arent meant to give great finishes, they're just a protector. It would be worthwhile using a sealer or wax instead (wax doesnt last as long but look better than sealer but you can seal then wax if you wish)

I would love to give my MCS a proper detail but cant be bothered so its stuck with the scarred patina im hard look for now

Well I washed and waxed the T6 this morning, all door openings footwells etc, then polished the alloys, feck me that was hard work even in the early warm sunshine.
