Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Seems to be a few people posting up over here lately who pick local haunts for bikers and take pics all day, then post up on facebook, could be someone like that..... or its the new wave of trainspotting, biker spotting ?kiwikrasher wrote:Took the Multi out for a couple hour run around the mountains loop. Last chance before heading out to work next week.
About a 1/4 the way into the ride I came behind a guy loaded up with soft panniers. Couldn’t quite tell what it was from behind. He was going ok but I was out solo in sports mode so wanted to boogie. Got an opportunity to get around him and opened up, few minutes down the road check the mirrors, he’s right up my arse. Cool, got some company for my hoon. About another 10 km up the road I turned off onto the causeway that links the two main roads that transverse the mountain range west of Sydney. It’s usually very quiet and nice mix of sweepers and a few tighter corners. I open the hammer and smash it at about 80%. I’m talking 140-170 km and using all the tyre. His lights drift back a bit but more he’s given room due to the speed rather than can’t keep up. It’s only 15 odd kms till we are in the next town and back to a highway. I’m turning left. He’s turning right. I get to have a look at the bike. It’s a KTM 640 Adventure with knobbly tyres and full packed with luggage I was very impressed
He gave me a double thumbs up and rode off!!!
On the way down the highway there’s lots of little towns and slow speeds zones so I’m behaving mostly. On a two lane boring bit, travelling at the speed limit I see what I think is a radar gun pointed at me. Guy is in civi dress but looks very cop like. As I get closer I see it’s a camera and he’s tracking me. I look back as I pass him and he’s still tracking me with the camera.
Very bizarre and I’m now worried something I’ve done earlier in the ride has got me in trouble and it was a copper getting evidence on my bike and plate number. Guess I’ll have to wait and see.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Had my MOT today. Passed with flying colours. Although the rear is pretty low but winter is just around the corner so it will be going away for a while and just before next season I can get new tyres. Also had a small spanking too and from the garage. One of our roads is closed so I had to take a slightly longer route but after careful consideration I decided I best take the longest route, you know just making sure the bike will pass

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Been to AV8 cafe. Had a great hoon down some back roads, some good, others were just wa◇k. Why can't england just look after their roads and when they are nice roads they decide its wise to put the speed limit down to 50. Whilst on the back roads went through a small village where we found 2 ladies with a speed camera. No warning, no hi vises, close to the 30 sign..I know I wouldn't get a ticket but information does get sent to the police and doesn't go in someone's favour.
Anyway got to AV8 Cafe and had a nice breakfast bap, chips and an apple juice. Then popped by Mega Motorcycle shop in Swindon to take a look around and went home. What lovely weather it has been today
Around 160 miles all in
