I live in very rural South Oxfordshire and very aware of house prices and rent being an ex LL of both private and industrial
My youngest works in the public sector , her job and how important it is and how many years she has had to train to get there she has still managed to buy a house ..her partner works at BMW .. they can't afford children and now in their 30's . They acknowledge children won't be happening .
people should take a little more responsibility rather than decide to do something and expect a tax payer to cover the costs because "it is their right"
If I was still an employer faced with a school leaver and a 25 year old, I still have to pay both 10.00 PH , I would choose the 25 year old., and most employers would .. it's non sensical
I agree the tory party leadership battle is ridiculous but most intelligent people see through all the guff ..unfortunately with Corbyn intelligence isn't high on the agenda , his electorate see it in how much they will get in the benefit every week , then whinge because they cannot afford 6 kids in a 2 bed property and want bigger houses
Utter bollocks .. I think we should agree to disagree..a decent labour opposition would benefit the whole country, this shower benefits no one apart from JC and his comrades
Your kids are in full-time high-quality employment and can't afford to have kids and you think it's somehow the fault of some sort of underclass robbing the state.
Give your **** head a shake!
Not at all, I didn't say it was anyones fault it's called taking responsibility . I just feel some seem to think it's their human right to procreate and expect me and others to pay for them ..if more people took responsibility over their own situations rather than blame everyone else, political party etc except themselves then perhaps we would be in a better place...
..and Monty you do nothing to persuade me otherwise than to think someone who kneels at Corbyns feet to be none other than one of those who want to share the financial love... Trust me I was back working within hours of giving birth and I aint sharing any of my hard work with some gobshite who can't be arsed to get out their pit in the morning.
Too much "woe is me" and not enough " lets get out there and do this" even if we get kicked down sometimes
I was on a property forum today (property is probably the only thing I know anything about) and some guy was asking if he could sue the Housing association as he's been evicted and they's got rid of his belongings after 28 days plus another 28 days
Now to evict someone as a HA you know you pretty much need a section 8 ( arrears or illicit activity over a period of time ) it takes months and months plus court hearings plus costs , plus bailiffs to remove.
This guy, after not paying his rent and after a court has tried everything to work with him and stored his belongings for an extra month on top of the 28 days he now wants to sue because he hadn't been informed of the new date when his belongings were being destroyed ..oh and he changed his email address ..
Guess what... he can't work because of a back injury.. This is what boils my urine and why I'd never vote for a Corbyn led party.
It may not affect me directly anymore but to vote for JC et al would destroy entrepreneurs and without them employment will decline , we need those who take risks.. and sure when they hit it big they reap rewards and good for them... go after Amazon and Google but that won't happen it never does
Just one other point my eldest is a single Mum, again in F/T employment as a cleaning manager ... it's how much you want it that counts
and no desist in the insults , it's my point of view and it's as good as yours... served me well for many decades
