How do you like that little gear organiser? I'm going to be looking to do similar in the workshop. I'll also be making myself a wheel and tyre rack of sorts

It's ok, the quality isn't stunning but then it only cost £30 so I shouldn't expect much.Cav wrote:How do you like that little gear organiser? I'm going to be looking to do similar in the workshop. I'll also be making myself a wheel and tyre rack of sorts
There is just enough space for the lid and spare visor and 2 pairs of gloves on the lower shelf. The is a small clip on the right hand side that I'm using to hang the bottle of visor cleaner.
Now it's strange that you should mention wanting to do the same thing, as due to a stock error this isn't the shelf I originally ordered. I ordered a double shelf and they sent me two singles.. I was going to put the other on eBay but would be happy to do a tankslap deal if your interested.

Today I did a firmware update on the tracker and had to re-register it and pay another year's subscription. Would it hell pair with it's key fob! I sussed it eventually and it's all good to go now so I pulled it out to wash yesterday's tree sap off and it started raining so that didn't get done, it's sat on top of a few layers of wax so it will be fine.

Started to rub down the panels off the XT660 to spray them black , it proved to be a bit too difficult to do with only one good arm so I’ll leave it for a few days.

Hopefully, they'll let me keep the photo of a ZX6 touching the front fairing down!

It's May and it's still fecking freezing cold. I did think about taking the MV out over the weekend but I decided the warmth of the house was the more sensible option.

It was cold over the weekend, but was actually quite pleasant for the ride in this morning.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
That was one of those horrible rides into work you can do without.
It's pissing it down, really heavy rain and it's windy too.
The motorway was shut so I had to go the long way onto the M6, which has got road works. Narrow lanes so I couldn't filter.
My gloves gave up. Both of them. The water got in about half way into the journey and I could feel it creeping up my hands and on to my shirt cuffs.
There was so much water the foam in my lid got wet, which meant that my neck warmer got wet on the inside, so the water ended up around my neck as well.
Thankfully the boots, jacket and trousers all held up but without a changing room my kit is going to be sat there all cold and wet. That should be nice for the return journey.

I did think about taking the car but thought it's pointless buying all that decent kit if I'm not going to use it on the bike

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
If it makes you feel any better kwacky, it's as bar here as well.
Even with the pinlock my visor was misting so had to crack it open, then got rain on the inside as well. Had to stop at services to clean it.
Then the gloves gave up at 30 mins, and the jacket at 45 mins. Had to stop in Sainsbury's to buy a new shirt as it's soaked through. Got a damp crotch as well, so guess the trousers gave up a little too. Fortunately I've nicked ask the radiators in the office and covered them on bike gear, fingers crossed it will dry a bit before the ride home.
Traffic was crap too, and made worse by the fact I was struggling to see.

All this make you look forward to winter returning, and the nice weather we've just had.?
