The Honda has closed the top speed gap to the Ducati.
3 Honda's and 3 Ducati's make up the top 6 max speed slots, with Honda and MM93 claiming the top spot at 351.7 kmph

Re: Qatar Motogp (Contains Spoilers)
Racers worried about dew on track which increases the risk of crashing.

Re: Qatar Motogp (Contains Spoilers)
It's all the commentators really talked about yesterday as I was flicking in and out between appointments. It does make sense.
Does the race start after that dew has developed or does it develop during?

TV coming before rider safety. I can foresee another instance of riders standing up to the pressures of being forced to race at some point.Blade wrote:Racers worried about dew on track which increases the risk of crashing.

Re: Qatar Motogp (Contains Spoilers)
Agree Duke. Rider safety should always be before TV priorities.
Last year they raced an hour earlier at 7pm and I believe it's the current 8pm race start which is causing the issue.

Re: Qatar Motogp (Contains Spoilers)
Anyone else think grabbing a obvious tow should be banned?
Seeing Marquez do it and benefit shows how much advantage can be gained.

Re: Qatar Motogp (Contains Spoilers)
Nope. It's part of racing. They do it in the race so why not for qualifying?

Hamilton isn't someone that is easy to take to but there is no doubt that he understands bike racing more than the average F1 driver.

Re: Qatar Motogp (Contains Spoilers)
Not good and I do think there will be more crashes today. The Lorenzo Q1 crash was at 8pm when all the riders had protested it was dangerous due to the formation of dew on the track.
Its not on really, starting the race at 8pm imo as what if MM93 or Dovi have a bad crash today and are out for a few races, then the seasons is over before it starts.
Its insane that they have scheduled the race to start an hour later than normal when they must know dew is a likely problem. I believe the riders all protested about this a week ago at the test also.
Why not switch the motogp and moto3 race start times, like they tried at Silverstone. A 60bhp moto3 bike is a lot safer than a 300bhp motogp bike in slippy conditions.

Re: Qatar Motogp (Contains Spoilers)
Cracking race. It's going to be an exciting season and there are some new young guns coming through.....Mir, Quatraro.
Whilst I have no doubt Lorenzo will win races, I think as a Championship winner, maybe his time has gone. Far too fragile physically and mentally.

Re: Qatar Motogp (Contains Spoilers)
Fook me that Honda is quick.
I think Marquez may have out dragged the Ducati to the line if he hadn't dived up the inside and compromised his exit.
Dovi rode a fantastic race but seeing as Qatar is a Ducati track and Marquez said that was a race to survive only a fool would get against another title for MM93.
