Re: Insurance renewal time
Think I may have suggested this already but put a wooden post on your land cemented into the ground and attach the gate to that.
Then fook the neighbours landlord. Nothing to do with the awkward sod then

He's a cock. He's objected to everything proposed so far, even though I offered to pay for the tree and the gate. A few years ago I wanted tree cut down because it's listing, blocks the light and covers both gardens with sap. No. The tree is a feature. The neighbours wanted a shed, they would pay. No sheds. It goes on.Blade wrote:

Sounds like my old landlord, all the while hiking up rent to the point it becomes unaffordable. So glad to be out of that loop now and dealing with people like thatKwacky wrote:He's a cock. Re: Insurance renewal time
He bought the house then had a work transfer, so kept the house and decided to rent it out with the rent paying for his mortgage for the property he bought near his new work place.
In a way I'm glad he didn't move in. If he's this much of a cock over a place he doesn't live in I dread to think what he would be like if he was my neighbour.

Dead, probably. maybe the thought of 4 martial arts experts living next door made him think twice about moving in.Kwacky wrote:He bought the house then had a work transfer, so kept the house and decided to rent it out with the rent paying for his mortgage for the property he bought near his new work place.

I work at Bemoto bike insurance. We specialise in a lot of different things and don't just stop if we get a 'computer says no'. Give me a call and I should be able to sort you out. Ask for Alex

Re: Insurance renewal time
I'm bored at work so I've been having a play with online insurance quotes for various bikes.
The KTM Superduke GT is over a grand.
Having a look at the bikes on the Isle of Man, the MT10 and the Multi are coming in at around the £500 mark, as is the 1090 Adventure R and the Triumph Explorer (although MCE say they'll do it for £350 but that's with a £750 excess)
Superduke 990r is anything from £400 to £900!
And while I was having a play a 765 RS was also around £500. My Street was around the £450 figure.
The value of the bike seems to make very little difference to a quote.
Having a garage more than halves the premium.

Re: Insurance renewal time
I've got 4 years to persuade Alex to join the army when he's 16. Georgie will be at uni by then so I can sell the house and move out to the middle of no where and buy a house with a garage. I'll be 50 and my insurance will be peanuts.
it's all about the long term planning

Re: Insurance renewal time
Yeah happy with that although less miles declared than last year as using the car more often for work nowadays due to client meetings and stuff so that has dropped the cost a fair bit I thinkKwacky wrote:That's not too bad given your miles and your claim.

Re: Insurance renewal time
Yes, but suspect it's the garage and 9 years no claims bonus that makes the most difference. (other than being 45)

In all seriousness I know what you mean about knees, why do you think I gave up on the ninja, it was the legs, just far too cramped for me.
