Re: H2R Brands Hatch lap
What groups do you all ride in then? I'm in Fast group. It was quite a funny time on my first trackday - I started in Novice and after one session the guy came over to me and was like, "You've got to change groups!". At the time I thought he was angry with me but he said that it wasn't saf...

Re: Rea's 2016 ZX10R
I know for a fact the current zx10r was built to win wsb not for the road I whole-heartedly agree with you. All they would have done is fitted soft-damping suspension to make it comfortable for the road. It makes sense for manufactures to do this though, the less changes they have to make to a road...

Yeah pretty much. Lets not forget, we have BMW to thank for this for them bringing the S1000RR which caught the Japanese sleeping

Done!
I'm thinking of buying a brand new Supercorsa SC1 rear next year to see how much quicker I can go at Donington... I hope it stays dry!

Re: Rea's 2016 ZX10R
I would love to be in Sykes position.. "This year's bike flexed too much over curbs in third gear so if you could make the chassis a little stiffer but keep it's suppleness that would be appreciated". "I found the seat a little uncomfortable - please sort this out" What an incred...

Re: Weekend Plans
Nice plans.. I'm seeing a counsellor after work then head to the gym and maybe go for a swim after. Probably going to hit legs tonight. Either legs or chest as my chest is lacking! Tomorrow I'm going to go for an early morning gym and swim session then hopefully clean my bike ready to start working ...

Re: Tyre options for the SX
Ahaa, my girlfriend likes watching me work my way through the riders but doesn't like watching me go fast. At Pembrey they were stood at the fastest corner on the track (approx 130mph+ kneedown) and she did not like that! haha. She tells me that she is going to stop me riding if I drag elbow hahaha!...

Re: Hourly pay rate of...
It brings a whole new dimension to "under the thumb" doesn't it... I've just had to accept that's how it is but my dad has health issues which his wife is making worse. That said, he could man up and sort it out himself but she certainly doesn't help. My dad is spineless and self-centred t...

Re: Tyre options for the SX
Shut the front door... Sounds nasty. Are you back to full fitness now then? A mate of mine in Fast Group was doing 1.01 at Mallory in the Dry I think so a 1.05 in the wet seems bloody quick to me !! I just googled Ben Wilson, that guy is quick. I think I'll do one of those when I don't seem to be ge...

Re: Hourly pay rate of...
It's nice you think like that. My dad earns £80k a year, his partner earns about £20k, they have no kids of their own or any particularly large outgoings besides the mortgage. The most he has ever offered me for anything was £500 for my first car - and it was a loan. I didn't take it because he was ...

Re: Tyre options for the SX
Crashing isn't particularly great is it? Any injuries to you or was it just to your bank balance and confidence? I know a few people on the ZX6R UK page who use the S20 Evos on track and they like them but I lost all confidence in Bridgestone to try them. I nearly lowsided a 2012 GSXR 1000 with S20s...

Re: H2R Brands Hatch lap
Yeah he is monsterous on the straights !! They were only standard bikes too (with track fairings). I do love that bit when he looks left. You can't see it in the video but he nearly hits me because he keeps turning right due to looking left over his shoulder. I learnt that I could brake hard into th...

Re: Hourly pay rate of...
That's exactly what I would like to do.. We want 3 kids and a 3 bed detached or semi with a garage and space for a dining room table. It needs a big enough garden for the kids but doesn't need to be massive. That's all. Within 1 mile of where I live I can get that for between £130k or £250k. Even at...

Re: Tyre options for the SX
Have you used BT016s? How do they compare with the S20s? I literally hate the BT016s which is why I never use Bridgestone now. I've had so many near-highsides on those tyres because they grip OK and then all of a sudden they run out of grip and catapult you skywards. Not used the M7RRs either but I ...

Thanks a lot! I've only done 3 trackdays so don't feel I should be racing yet.. maybe another year of trackdays before I start racing - I don't have the money or the bike for it though so will take some time !!

Re: Tyre options for the SX
I did exactly that on my car yesterday. Fitted some Uniroyal Rainsport 3s. These things grip better in the wet than my previous tyres did in the dry !!
