Re: The next prime minister

It's not, but anyway in other news Michael Gove vows to axe VAT on small mirrors, glass coffee tables and razor blades IMO the greatest inditement of the state of the Tory party, is not from their critics. It's the eagerness shown by the candidates to offer transparent & shallow bribes to the m...

Re: The next prime minister

I am a tory voter , occasionally I have done a protest vote other than a GE I voted tory pretty much all my life and unless the party changed it's stance dramatically like Labour have done since JC and his friends became opposition I doubt it will change. If they do become too extreme right then I w...

Re: The next prime minister

I try not to be rude in my opinions, I think it helps. Having a different opinion is good, and that is what it is, a different opinion ...not wrong I meant personal attacks on people here and other forums. Corbyn , in the past week has been totally disrespectful and as a leader of the opposition sh...

Re: D-Day - 75 years on

Thanks duke, that evokes some really strong emotion.. If I can get another weekend away towards the end of the year then some of these places will be on my to do list. I hope these remembrance days continue as I am guilty as the next person of not thinking about as much as I should Its an easier tr...

Re: D-Day - 75 years on

At the minute for the past few weeks the vet has been my day out, if I'm not visiting then I'm on the phone !! Try helping a pig wi...

Re: D-Day - 75 years on

The best way of remembering those who gave everything is to go and visit the graves and memorials. Nothing can ever prepare you for that. It’s just the huge number of graves that is so overwhelming. I sadly have never been, both sets of grand parents and immediate family have long gone but would lo...

Re: D-Day - 75 years on

I was a little annoyed though, as there is a small primary school where I live , and during the televised remembrance they were having playtime then lunch. Am I wrong to think that something so important as this should have been included into the days activities ? I felt it a little sad that during...

Re: D-Day - 75 years on

I just found it a little sad, the pride those men had on stage.. I couldn't help feel the emotion they had and think it is important for the young to remember and discuss.. If they are young enough for all other social aspects of life then something of this magnitude should be celebrated to make the...

Re: D-Day - 75 years on

I watched it today and can't deny many tears flowed.. I am so proud as my grand parents participated along with so many others ... Re: The next prime minister

Just a quick question, I notice a couple of people are socialist on here , where did your vote go before Corbyn became leader of the labour party ?

What will you do if he is ousted especially if the result in Peterborough goes the way most think it will ?
