I got a really good reply.
1. UK should not hold or charge import duties because these helmets are actually exempt from VAT in the UK, since they qualify as protective equipment. Customs have more info on this here https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -equipment

2. If a turn signal is activated while the brake light is triggered, the brake light will only illuminate the turn signal which is not activated, and the one being used will remain orange.

Well I've gone and done it, of I remember I'll post up a mini review when it's delivered.

You'll have to post a video with a few Zoolander turns and looks in it to go with it.

Nah, expected delivery is late November. Joys of kick starter projects that are just gaining funding.

It's here and it's well cool...

I'll take some pics tomorrow and scrawl a quick review once I've tried it out.

It kicks arse...

I've really noticed a difference in the way car drivers react to you. The front and rear lights make a difference as they are at a high level and very bright.

However it is the indicators that have made the most difference. You can actually hear from the difference in engine noise that cars hang back much further when they know where you are intending to go.

The only bit that hasn't worked is the brake light, it's just to sensitive and keeps triggering when cycling normally. I've had to disable it for now, hopefully a later firmware release will make it better.
