Favourite UK Circuit
Out of curiosity, which UK circuit is your favourite?
I'm limited on the number of tracks I can list so I have missed some (Knockhill, Castle Combe, Croft, etc)
I would like to hear your most memorable moment on track too!!

Re: Favourite UK Circuit
Best to ride on is donington for me.
Not sure about my best track moment, I've had loads of excellent days with some very good mates.

Re: Favourite UK Circuit
I would have to agree with you on that one. The only circuit I've ridden on with real elevation changes and challenging corners.
That's great you have so many memorable moments!
Best track moment for me would probably be on the brakes going into Redgate (Turn 1 Donington).. I'd outbrake 3 or 4 people and still be trail braking most of the way to the apex. There's just something satisfying about that

Cadwell, but I also really like Brands Indy. Paddock Hill bend is incredible.

Re: Favourite UK Circuit
In terms of riding i think Cadwell takes some beating.
My best time was there on a day that started dry and got damper and wetter as it went on. Fortunately i was on my trackbike so wasn't quite so precious about it but was amazed how much more confidence just that gave me and overtook so many riders that day i wondered what was happening. Obviously their bikes didn't give them as much confidence even though i was on Supercorsas until the afternoon sessions.

Nice one duke!
I've ridden 2 tracks.. Oulton will be happening this year and maybe Bedford, Anglesey, Brands or Mallory.

Re: Favourite UK Circuit
I do think Silverstone is massively under rated as its a great track for learning track craft as its so wide, fast and with an assortment of different corners.

Done 5 from the list.
Silverstone, Oulton, Mallory, Cadwell and Donnington.
Probably done 3 track days in last 5 years. Must try harder this year.

Re: Favourite UK Circuit
Cadwell is my overall favourite but a special mention for Brands Simply for Paddock hill, it's such an awesome corner to get right.
I've got some fantastic memories of moments, but if I had to pick only one, it would be as an experienced trackdayer finally clicking 100% with Paddock hill and then playing with speed and throttle and repeatedly laying darkies at full lean, sounds suicidal, but it was one of those days when it all flowed perfectly and felt easy.

Re: Favourite UK Circuit
Yes, Perkles - I will be doing Oulton this year but I'm a fairly late booker of trackdays - typically about 2 weeks before the day.
Sounds nice Deegee, I try to lay deliberate darkies but I just end up laying brownies! haha

Re: Favourite UK Circuit
Cadwell, local, done a ton of laps there and being so tight and phsyical makes it such a joy to ride/race. Secondly oulton for how crazy it is and third, snetterton, the one place i feel mega at home on, can get absolutley onnit quite quickly there

Re: Favourite UK Circuit
Angelsey for me, before I went there I'd have voted for either Donington or Mallory, but the first half of that track is so damned fast! If you get the 3 consecutive right handers just right you can take the last one flat in 5th and leave a nice black line - incidentally that's also my memorable moment!
It's all shits and giggles until someone giggles and shits
