Re: Malaysian MotoGP Sepang (spoilers)
I had to watch that race before we left today. I'm now in a bar in Pau and the frenchies on the next table are arguing about the race one of them does have a Rossi lid though
Rossi's punishment is fine as he will lose the championship and a lot of cred, which is a far worse punishment tbh.
Very disappointed in him

I agree Cookie.
Rossi has genuinely embarrassed himself imo. If he is the GOAT he needs to behalf like such.

Just re watched the race and what a tragic ending to an epic duel. Possibly the best racing I have ever seen and ended with bad sportsman ship is truly a tragic ending. This race could have gone down in history as truly epic but will now be famous for all the wrong reasons.

Re: Malaysian MotoGP Sepang (spoilers)
People get run wide all the time and nobody screams about it. The running MM wide was on purpose, the crash was just a racing incident. MM's head clearly crashed into Rossi's leg with some force and he quite clearly just pushes him back away with it. If MM had have stayed on there would have been no complaints, in my opinion the crash was unfortunate but it happens in racing.
I do agree that it would have been a better race if it went the distance but ultimately I think it would have always ended with an off of either one or both of them.

Good explanation R34per probably best I've heard. Doesn't seem anywhere near as bad when you explained it like that.
I couldn't believe Keith Hewuen kept banging on repeating that Rossi had applied Marquez's front brake with his knee and this had caused MM to loose the front and crash. Even if he had wanted to which he wouldn't it would be impossible to do such due to the regulation brake guard.

There are loads of videos of Marquez doing far worse things over the years, a few vid compliations put up already on Youtube and Facebook.
Also this video doing the rounds of Lorenzo overtaking Rossi yesterday under a yellow flag? No punishment.

Re: Malaysian MotoGP Sepang (spoilers)
If I have done my maths correctly and Lorenzo were to finish 3rd behind the 2 factory Hondas (very possible) Rossi would still win the title if he finishes 6th which although challenging is not impossible.
If Rossi does take the title his sins will instantly be forgotten or forgiven by many.

If he wins from the back of the grid in Valenica, i think if i were him I would retire on the spot and watch Dorna start to quake in their shoes at the huge loss of income for the next season.

The yellow was also a mistake
Lorenzo did the right thing he got his head down and got on with it

To be blunt, what does it matter?duke63 wrote:There are loads of videos of Marquez doing far worse things over the years, a few vid compliations put up already on Youtube and Facebook.
We're talking about the race at Sepang, I'm sure there are countless videos of Rossi barging people, cutting them up, slowing down on corners etc.
What matters is what happened yesterday.
People are ignoring the fact that Rossi purposely slowed down, checked where MM was then forced him wide. He's said that himself.
Now why would someone going for their 10th title get tangled up with someone who he slagged off a few days before and has nothing to lose?
Poor judgement and pretty stupid of Rossi, whichever way you want to look at it.

Yeah but he's not going for the title so he should have pulled over and let Rossi win.......

Re: Malaysian MotoGP Sepang (spoilers)
Watched it again tonight,my Mrs is a Massive Rossi fan and has just fell out with him for good she couldn't believe it.
What staggers me the most is how unrepentive he is about it,I think he's lost the plot
