Re: How tempting
I've been watching that ad in for the last few months, seems to fluctuate between 7999 and 8499 and the finance between 1 and 3 years.
I'm just praying it's still there next April!

Good. That'll give me time to strip mine and put it back to standard

Re: How tempting
To be honest if my bike was ready to be sold I would go for it. But I would take too much of a hit on it with a dented tank and damaged plastics on it.

Re: How tempting
I think there are going to be some bargains to be had this winter! Sportsbikes don't seem to be selling at all.

Re: How tempting
Not necessarily (I hope), had a long chat with DK about Kawasaki Direct. A lot depends on how many they have available for sale, which is why you only see these deals on Suzuki and Kawasaki.Blade wrote:Tbh Monty I reckon the price will go up at the beginning of the season.Monty wrote:I've been watching that ad in for the last few months, seems to fluctuate between 7999 and 8499 and the finance between 1 and 3 years.

Both the above import large numbers of bikes and deliver all of them to the dealers, then invoice the dealer on sales. Honda and Yamaha deliver small quantities to the dealers and then ship on customer orders. Ever notice you see rows of Gixers and ZXrs in the dealers and one or two CBRs and R6s.
DK told me the 7999 price is only a few hundred quid above the dealer cost and Kawasaki fund the interest free credit. I do believe him as he told me to go and F@ck myself when I asked him if he could match the Kawaski Direct price!

Re: How tempting
That's why they have deals like this:-
http://www.motorcyclesdirect.co.uk/road ... -abs-2012/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Stock in they need to shift.

Re: How tempting
If Kawasaki and Suzuki are working in that way its a recipe for disaster IMHO.
Carrying surplus unsold expensive stock means big discounts and low secondhand values. No one else works that way in car or bike manufacturing anymore.
