Scratched an itch
Just had a little test ride on this. Only gave half an hour so I took 45 Noticibly quicker than my 675!!!!! Doesn't turn in as quick but it doesn't half pile speed on! Next up maybe the zx10,R1 or maybe the rc8?

Re: Scratched an itch
Been contemplating the jump up to a litre bike for a while now, what with the new job and having a bit more cash thought it may be time to get some testrides,

Sorry mate you lost me, I'm a bit brain dead after work, I've already spoke to some dealers about testing a zx10 and a blade, looking at 08 models of both reallyKwacky wrote:I'm offendedCavetroll87 wrote: thought it may be time to get some testrides,

Re: Scratched an itch
I'd happily come back down from a litre bike now I've had one for a while.
Its too easy to get into license loosing territory too quickly. That said its going to be a while before I can buy another bike.

Re: Scratched an itch
Nice one Andy how did it compare to the 899 ??? i keep looking at zx10's and fireblades at the moment good value for money. However a voice in my head says the 636 is so much fun cause its fast at turning in and i enjoy it cause i have to wragg It.
"80mph" sorry officer I possibly could not have done that I'm no Valentino Rossi.

I can see a zx10 in my future, the latest range of kwacks are awesome bikes
A 1190 v twin is quite lush to ride on the road though ,takes some getting used to though

Re: Scratched an itch
I have to say the fireblade was incredibly easy to ride but maybe because of that not involving enough? It was just so smooth. 45 mins wasn't really long enough to gel with it properly but it was plenty long enough to hit some frankly ridiculous speeds!
Compared to the 899 it's definitely in a different league power wise! I'd compare the 899 with my Daytona but a litre bike is something else
Too much for the road? Probably but...

If I ever did go down the litre bike route it would have to be a zx10r. You want something a batshit mental.

That's exactly what I think. I can't of want it to fight you a bit if you know what I mean?Kwacky wrote:If I ever did go down the litre bike route it would have to be a zx10r. You want something a batshit mental.
I've just read that blade has 178hp!!!!! If I'd known that before I'd have been more nervous lol. Just shows how well mannered that bike is.

Re: Scratched an itch
Nice one Andy I knew you would be getting the itch again. Blade is very easy to ride, even a nobber like me can manage it haha.
Litre bikes are mental these days as you say most have 178 to 200 bhp where as older litre bikes of yester year make about 120 bhp which is very much the same as a modern 600. My sp2 has 135 bhp genuine rear wheel bhp with a full system, power commander and custom map but was no quicker than my old 636 which rocket loves to hoon around on. We really never have had it so good, people who say Sportsbikeshop are dead are clearly wrong IMO.
Scratch the itch mate and enjoy it before the do gooders ban is having so much fun is what I say.
