Wonder if they will do a naked version of it for 5 grand lessduke63 wrote:Mmmmm. IT doesn't grab me particularly. And only 6bhp more then mine and the same torque.
The components on the bike are high spec for the price but I was expecting more of a change in looks. I'll reserve judgement til I see it in Sunday.

Re: Triumph 765 Daytona Moto2 Limited Edition
It's nice but it doesn't strike me as a Ltd Edition bike. I'd be surprised if there is a standard road bike based on it.

Re: Triumph 765 Daytona Moto2 Limited Edition
I'd be pissed off if I put a deposit on that. I'd rather have a 675R.
There is no design flair. It looks like the old daytona. At least the change from Daytona 650 to 675 was radical.
Very disappointing and Im sure there will be full production at 4k less than that in less than a year.
What a shame.

Re: Triumph 765 Daytona Moto2 Limited Edition
I wanted it to look the Moto2 bike but sadly is doesn't.
It is highly specc'd for the money but its just a bit underwhelming.

Got to be a full production motorcycle in a year or so imo.C00kiemonster wrote:I'd be pissed off if I put a deposit on that. I'd rather have a 675R.

What profit do you think 20-25%.
That's £3153 to £3941 per unit. At 1530 limited edition units globally that's between £4.8 and £6.0 million profit for Triumph on the entire run.
They didn't do all this for £6.0 million. They need a bigger return than that or just not worth the effort for a company of Triumphs size imo.

Re: Triumph 765 Daytona Moto2 Limited Edition
It's a very lazy 'special'
It looks 15 years old. It should be 140hp, edgy design and futuristic lighting and fairing.
It's supposed to be a flagship bike.

Agree they've cut corners. People were putting deposits down and being told it could be 20k.C00kiemonster wrote:It's a very lazy 'special'

If they had upped the price it could have been so much more, cutting edge design, carbon wheels etc....
It's got the mirrors and rearsets of a 2013 Daytona. Maybe thats why it was limited to 1530 units globally, as that's all the wing mirrors they had left in the parts bin

Re: Triumph 765 Daytona Moto2 Limited Edition
It's a missed opportunity for greatness. Could have been and was expected to be so much more.
Wonder how the media receive it. Triumph deserve it to be a success, would be a real shame if it gets slated.
