Powerline Batteries
evening all.
The daytonas battery is all but dead, so after a new one.
Anyone tried the eBay budget powerline battery? Half the price of the yuasa, but any good?
Guessing I'll play it safe, but wondered if anyone's got one?

Re: 1983 Honda CB1000 Custom
You can't win with these fecktards jlawie, you have been better off not telling them and getting someone to stamp the frame with the original frame number. Too many times I've cut corners. Knowing my luck that will come back and bite me! Very tempting though. DVLAs attitude does nothing but encoura...

Been hell!
Every person at the DVLA has a different view on the rules. Tell you to send them all the info....they you hit another wall!

Re: 1983 Honda CB1000 Custom
Massively slow at this again! DVLA have thrown me a complete curve ball. I sent off the V5 to have the new chassis number added. After 4 (yes 4 months) of back and forth, they aren't willing to do so. Theyve stated the only way you can change the chassis number is with a brand new receipted frame. W...

Anyone here near Bude, Cornwall?
As above really. Looking to pull the trigger on a new frame for me project.
It's 5 hours from me though.
Wonder if someone near can quickly check it out for me.
Payment made by way of beers of your choice!

DVLA Advice - Change of chassis
Evening all! As some of you will have seen, I'm currently in the process of restoring a 1983 Honda CB1000. As the bike was left outside in the elements for many years in the lovely british weather, the frame had rotted through! In my haste to get her restored, I picked up a replacement frame (with n...

Re: 1983 Honda CB1000 Custom
All gone quiet on the project front at the moment. Decided I should get the log book updated with the DVLA and the new frame number before spending any more. So all the paper works back with them and in there hands. Fingers crossed they don't Q plate it or give me any grief! Just some tinkering betw...

Re: 1983 Honda CB1000 Custom
Kinda always bugged me how far the bars sat back from the yoke, so I'm messing around with something else. Picked up a pair of VF750 Interceptor bars. Can see how the two sit side by side. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/10/23/qudebe9a.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/10/23/e2yhu4e5.jpg Was going to go...
