Here she is ,I got a cracking deal on my old bike and this x demo from Wolverhampton Motorad ,I have ordered some Gilles rearsets and crash bungs ,a tail tidy ,GB Racing engine protectors and a tank pad protector
I think I am going to keep the standard exhaust for as its pretty small and sounds ok ,it feels a lot narrower, lighter and nimbler than the Gen3

Looks very smart.

I take it you didn't fancy anything different or is there a big step up between the Gen3 and Gen4?

I dont really like naked upright bikes to ride but like I said to you I do really enjoy riding the CX500 .I dont think I could ever be without a full on sports bike
I am not sure its a massive step up to a Gen4 ,its a lot more refined and a hell of a lot quieter .It feels a lot smaller and nimbler ,the big step up is the LCD screen its very nice to use and look at.The mid range is definitely improved with the shift cam engine its very noticeable
I will never ever reach the bikes full potential Gen3 or Gen4 ,I think the Gen3 is a nicer looking bike and the plastics are better quality

Brilliant. If I was to have a litre sportsbike it would be that.

200bhp on leaf covered wet roads in the howling wind and rain. What's the issue?

Don't those new flashier versions now come with "wet leaves mode", as well as the old fashioned "wet mode" .?

I enjoyed the ride home and fantastic service from Motorad Wolverhampton ,first impressions is the engine is silky smooth and the steering is sublime
I can’t touch the floor though it’s a much taller bike ,I’m also struggling to find neutral which is a known fault so will have to keep an eye on that
Very sad to see the old bike go it was an absolute beast and in good condition

Pleased (& relieved) that you got her home safely.
Happy new bike day Perkles.

I only had it in road mode but it’s almost like an electric engine, the shift cam makes it feel like a 1300.I tried sport on the motorway but it was wet ,silly speed in 4th gear with no effort. It is definitely stupidly fast but not at all intimidating ,come to caffeine and machine and have a go
I like it the weight difference feels huge on the road ,can’t wait to get out in the cotswolds for a full days riding

It's a good looking bike.

The head on view is quite intimidating, more so than previous versions. Even on the side stand it looks like it's going to overtake you.
