Lots of senior Tories have had enough.

Even John Major has openly broadcast his disdain for the conduct of the current crop of crooks holding sway.

Fwiw I suspect that there are many Conservatives who would favour a short period in opposition,,,,,,

,,, so that they will have others they can blame for the coming era.. Currently they have been in power for so long, that there is not much they can do to shirk the responsibility.

Any opposition would do well to position themselves as the friend of SME businesses. Many do not see this Government as their friend.

And that will turn business against him even more.

A trade war will be his last throw of the dice,in my opinion. We cannot afford it and it will certainly turn more Tories against him.

Does he have to be illegal for it to be the incorrect thing to do?

He is paid to be an MP by the taxpayer...it would appear that was the last thing on his mind.

The lot of them are incompetent and useless and have one agenda which is to line their own nests, including the opposition

What is illegal is usually fairly cut & dried....what is correct/incorrect, etc. in many instances is just a matter of opinion.
Phrases like "taking advantage of lockdown rules" cut both ways.
