To the point.

50 years ago that letter would have brought down a government, at the very least a cabinet.

The potential financial catastrophe on top of the complete lack of investment in the future of this Country will be something those who voted for this excuse for leadership will live to regret.

You know that aircraft carrier we spent billions on? Well apparently its in the south China Sea with only one destroyer to protect it as the other 5 are out if action due to the fact the engines pack up in warmer waters. The Navy expect the last destroyer to also give up the ghost too so have asked the US Navy to be prepared to offer it protection..
Add to that the engines have already been replaced once at great expense. Also I think the carriers have similar engines too :x
As we're talking about boats, I'll just leave this here. Image

So the world is going to be treated to another bastard child of Johnson.

Obviously Carrie is making sure she is feathering her nest financially for when he dumps her for another.

Apparently that's a 'San Antonio'-class ship....the first of them was laid down before 9/11, not afterwards. The twin-towers configuration is simply a coincidence of design. The ship in the photo is named after the State Of New York, not New York City - although the use of steel from the World Trade Center in the bow section of the ship is certainly no coincidence.

The UK and indeed the whole world is running out of glass vials for blood tests and/or vaccines.

It's one of those things that wouldn't even occur to you unless you worked in that, or a similar field.
It seems that even Budweiser, that bastion of finely brewed beers, is shifting it's whole er, "bottling" emphasis away from glass and over to cans. Apparently there's a worldwide shortage of glass... and even people in that industry aren't sure of the reason... or reasons, behind it.

So a Tory manifesto pledge of no tax or NI increases didn't actually mean no increases.

And the triple lock pension pledge meant, only when it suits them.

Ironically (or maybe just deliberately) the hardest hit by an NI increase will be the lowest paid.

And the least impacted will be the well off, retired, Tory faithful voters!
