Lots of senior Tories have had enough.
Owen Paterson was called a c'nt to his face in Westminster by another Tory MP.

Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread
Even John Major has openly broadcast his disdain for the conduct of the current crop of crooks holding sway.
,,, so that they will have others they can blame for the coming era.. Currently they have been in power for so long, that there is not much they can do to shirk the responsibility.
Fwiw I suspect that there are many Conservatives who would favour a short period in opposition,,,,,,duke63 wrote:There are no doubt a few Tories who can smell blood.

Any opposition would do well to position themselves as the friend of SME businesses. Many do not see this Government as their friend.StMarks wrote:Even John Major has openly broadcast his disdain for the conduct of the current crop of crooks holding sway.

And that will turn business against him even more.
A trade war will be his last throw of the dice,in my opinion. We cannot afford it and it will certainly turn more Tories against him.

Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread
Does he have to be illegal for it to be the incorrect thing to do?
He is paid to be an MP by the taxpayer...it would appear that was the last thing on his mind.

Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread
What is illegal is usually fairly cut & dried....what is correct/incorrect, etc. in many instances is just a matter of opinion.duke63 wrote:Does he have to be illegal for it to be the incorrect thing to do?

Phrases like "taking advantage of lockdown rules" cut both ways.
