I like it.. I do like the current lights in pictures but they're a little underwhelming in person

I think mine is fine as it is.

No doubt it will get an auto blipper and perhaps cruise control ( the only two things mine lacks) but rumours are its 6kg heavier due to Euro 5 stuff. So it will be slower, quieter and probably heavier on fuel.

Looks like it may have the engine from the Moto2 LE 765 Daytona

So much for the exclusivity of the Moto2 Daytona (blush)

It's still exclusive isn't it?

Triumph are doing a range of specials for their models, so it stands to reason they'll consider that for the 765RS. Plus using the better engine means that they can go someway to combat the Euro5 regs.

I see your point mate and its only my opinion, but if I had paid £15,765 for something that looks 10 years old and turns out to not even be that exclusive I would be annoyed tbh.

Remember the Daytona is branded as a moto2 LE and the only element related to moto2 is the engine, so to then use that engine in another standard model, it questions the credibility of what is exclusive and limited edition on the 15 grand Daytona imo.

We're talking semantics IMO. Triumph said that the Daytona was exclusive. It is.

It's very common for bike manufacturers to share engines between models, even exclusive ones.

Let's wait to see what Triumph tell u about the new street triple. The engine might not even be a Moto2 engine.

It'll be a "re-tuned, milder" version of the "Moto-2 inspired" engine in a more "road-oriented guise".
It'll be for the "discerning hardcore rider" rather than the "hardcore racer" etc. Or some other drivel.
They had to have dumped a ton of money into developing that engine...they're bound to milk it for all it's worth, I suppose.

I like the lights. Everything needs a upgrade at some point.

Apart from the new Ford Fiesta ST that bodywork looks awful and I can't stand the dash but the engine and handling are peaches. I can't get over why they changed a mean looking car into a soft pansy

The front looks like a Cylon helmet.
Or an insect.

Details now up in the Triumph site. It only seems to be the RS updated. Up/down QS, Daytona LE engine with more torque, slightly redesigned dash and styling.

Bike journos are test riding it this week so we'll get a few reports over the next few days.

Do they offer an R still Duke? I thought the whole thing with the motor was for euro5 but guess the current engine model must be euro 5

It still states Euro 4 on the specs on line. Euro 5 from 1 January is for brand new models only. I think current models don’t have to be Euro 5 til January 2021. It maybe this is just seen as an update for now.

Has yours got the up and down QS Duke ?

If so, good for you as not really dated your bike much spec wise and you got a fantastic deal on your model (y)
