Xlite 803 Ultra Carbon

So I've had a ride in the new lid. The full carbon Xlite 803 and I m very happy with it.

Great fit and more comfortable than either my HJC RHPA10 or Shoei GT helmets both of which had pressure points on my forehead. I rode for 7 hours in the Xlite and after a full day in the saddle my head was as fresh as when I first set out. I'll have that (lol)

As to be expected with a top flight helmet the liner is removable and it also has the cheek pad emergency release system which will hopefully never be needed. It's also very light with being Carbon construction and this helps with the all day comfort.

The air flow is very good and although not tried on a roasting hot day I believe it will be good as I had to close the top vents in 20deg ambient temperatures as the cooling effect was too much.

It's quiet for a race lid and got a very wide field of view which I would say is probably slightly better than the HJC.

Overall great helmet and I'm happy with the purchase. I also really like the stealth look with a dark visor (lol)

Nice lid that, it caught my eye as helmet city have them on offer for £299, so much cheaper now. Might take a closer look.

Oooh.. I'll need a new helmet soon. I like my RPHA-10 but the field of vision takes some getting used to. It does get in the way a little and when I was dragging elbow I couldn't see much at all

Doesn't he have Arai? They've got incredible field of view - their problem is the weight. Even the RX7-GP is 200g heavier than the RPHA-10

Ah okay, I always knew him to have Arai. Needless to say I pay no attention to him.

That looks very nice. Glad you like the new lid especially as it was more of an impulse buy to be fair. Clearly you selected right

Just watching Motogp and Petrux and Rins are using the exact same lid (y)

Used the helmet for 11 hours on Thursday and have to say it's the most comfort helmet I've worn.

No pressure points after a few hours, great venting, quiet with plugs and never misted up in the cold damp air or the rain.

Good lid if your still thinking of getting one Cookie (y)

I'm going to bear this in mind for next year as my newest helmet is turning 7...... 0_0
