I've got some lacquer as well, biut coating is a decent idea

Clear coat lacquer chips also. Think stone chips on a car.

If you want to rattle can, then use paint protection film which is dirt cheap, although best option is powder coating which is very cheap and by far the most durable.

I'll have a word with my brother, he's in the car repair business. He'll probably know what's best to use.

Powered coating is the cheapest and arguably best option for what you want. Its used on motorcycle wheels and they have a tough life.

Couldnt agree more with Blade. Defo don't rattle can it. My dad likes to mess about with bits and pieces and rattle can jobs always chip and wear very quickly!

I've booked the big monster in for its annual service. It's early but I want to make sure that any potential issues are picked up now while the bike is still under warranty.

Annual service. No issues. Took it the long way home before the rain came.

You know what it's like, there are bouts of looking at new bikes then bouts of realising what you've got is good.

It's a big bike but it's a very rewarding ride and although it's never going to win any beauty pageants it's got a good look and strong presence.

I've ridden a lot of adventure bikes this year including the new version of this but none of them have made me want to swap it.

Always something new and shiny for us to want, but the reality is its a big chunk of cash to change for something perhaps only marginal better, just different.

Sounds like the big AT is staying a little longer

Its probably the best looking adventure bike out there.

I've had to book it back in for an ongoing clutch issue. It jolts when you change up, especially between 2rd and 3rd and 3rd and 4th. it's fine with the QS, it only happens when you change manually.

The bike has got a faulty quickshifter so they've ordered a new one.

The bike is now out of warranty but Honda have approved the QS change. The QS should be here today. They'll fit it on Monday then take it out for a test.

I had a chat yesterday with the Tamworth branch where I bought my bike from. I reported this issue back in June so I wanted to make sure there's a fault report for the bike just in case the new QS doesn't resolve the issue.

I don't need the bike at the moment so I've told Bromsgrove to keep it until everything is sorted.

I had a call on Monday to say that the QS has been replaced and that seems to have solved the issue. I'll pick it up tomorrow.

New quickshifter and gear foot lever. It seems to have done the trick.

Took mine for a wee hurl round the NC500 - was pretty awesome
