Jess filled up tonight, paid $2.17/Litre

First time we have seen $2+ and it’s just smoked straight past it!

At least it seems to have stabilised a bit. A week or so ago it was going up 1p per liter per day.

I saw diesel at 1.91.9 yesterday at a local Texaco, not even a motorway services. 1.85.9 at my local Jet garage. I might call in to Ferrybridge services again tonight for a laugh at their prices since it's a convenient pit-stop for a break in the lorry.

I'm just glad my car does 50mpg, its old and slow but frugal and comfortable.

Had a week with my new Toyota self charging hybrid now and am getting between 10-15 more miles per gallon than the Audi and thats with a brand new engine not yet run in.

The worse the traffic the more economical the Toyota becomes.

5p off a litre. That should prevent people from struggling to pay the bills.
