Nice collection of bikes.
The wife and I would like to move out in a few years time.
With the best will in the world, it would not be possible before 31 Dec this year and i read of lots of people trying to rush it through without any thought to the implications. I am sure many will regret not thinking it through properly.
Equally I am sure when the Brexit ideology bullshit dies down and those currently in charge have been removed from office, Britain and France will see that working together is much more sensible for both.

Really nice mix of bikes. I've done some off road stuff over there so I think I would have a couple of mixed use bikes in my garage. The Honda is too big for some of the tracks I went on.
It'll be about 5 years before I can look at what I'm going to do. I want to move but I'm not sure my wife is so keen.

I am afraid that unless you have a very large income, and not from savings, then the chances of moving to the EU after the 1st of January is going to be very low. Sorry, but I can only point out the rules that exist for people moving from non-EU countries into the EU. They are very similar to the UK, an income of around £30+k pa amongst other things.

There is lots to think about in the future. We are aware it will be much harder in many ways.

Yes it was easy, but it is not the first bike that I have put onto French plates. I would suggest that it could become a very expensive exercise after brexit.
The important document is a European Certificate of Conformity (CofC). Every bike post 2002 will have one somewhere, normally with the country importer, but it is getting it that can be difficult. You ony need to ask and I'll help where I can.
Our nearest town is Perigueux to the north west and Bergerac to the south west.
We have many bike visitors out here who stay at a very nice municipal camp site at St Leon sur Vezere, most of them are Irish and come back year after year. I tend to organise some rides out on nice roads or visits to nice places for them. It is not a business and I do everything for free.

I'm in Australia but am hoping to get over UK/Europe when COVID settles down so might still catch up one day.
Now this bit might need some ellaboration..
if I'm reading it right, you have a wife and a girlfriend and they have matching Ducati's?? Living the dream!!!

No explanation needed, they are not exactly the same bikes as the wifes is black and the girlfriends is red, besides the red one has a quick sifter fitted so they never get them mixed up.

Just so that you dirty minded lot understand. The wife now lives in Scotland and we are separated, the Girlfriend lives here in France with me. We are all friends. Life is too short to have enemies.

On my route to the UK. I have ridden the Ducati Supersport that way to Caen so many times that the bike now knows the way.
