I think they've only got one black player

As said they have done worse.... as have many fans (I use that term... not sure it really is right, but you know what I mean) from many clubs.... But we have not seen any news on that side for years.... all swept under the carpet until it is something they want to bring to attention. Bushwackers and alike have never stopped.... just not so much at grounds.

Sheffield United.

A third of the season gone and they have one solitary point. That takes some doing. :D

At least we got a win last night. Back to 4-4-2 which seemed to work.

I see there's more talk of a European super League.

Football is all about money and TV audiences

I say let the big clubs go and see how lucrative it is long term but don't let them play in the Premier Leagues.

Us smaller clubs will get our football back then.

I see the German and French clubs want nothing to do with it.

Interesting article here focussing on my team but the stark point in it all is the one about when the ESL was announced, Sky said all future financial payments would be put on hold by them. I think that realistically that would have meant every single English club being on the brink of bankruptcy.

Fortunately when the ESL collapsed Sky said everything would resume, but there is no doubt football now has to sort the financial mess it is in and ensure ALL clubs live within their means going forward.

They won't. Nothing will change and the gap will widen

I think its probably reached its limit as far as TV money goes.

All the ESL was about was those clubs taking a much much bigger share of the cash.

Horrible scenes at the Finland Denmark game. I hope the player is alright. He was being given CPR and a defibrillator on the pitch

Reports are he is now conscious in hospital and stable.

You do have to wonder if players are not being given enough downtime after the restart from covid.
