My BP is 150/100 on average. The tablets the Dr gave me to bring it down have had little effect other than working as a personal internal central heating system.

With tablets, mines stabilised at about 150/90, still higher than the doctor wanted but might better than the 220/110 I had when I went to hospital

Lucky the only side effects are the occasional unexplained dodgy tummy.

Worth talking to the Dr Duke, there are so many types of tablet and they admit it's proper trial an error to find the right one for you.

My high BP is caused by work, there is not much doubt about that. Hopefully when I start to work less days next year it will come down.

I've got a vitamin D deficiency.

I've got the trotts.
Started with cramps mid morning. I've had to visit the WC over a dozen times since then.
I'm now passing as fluids only, a 10 second stream about every 20-30 mins.
Am on my third set of underkeggs, as it's not giving me much warning.

Stuffed peppers, followed by Game Pie with cauliflower cheese & the trimmings for supper. One of my favourites.

Don't thing I'll risk it, even though I'm hungry as hell.

Nice! Get some 10000ud tablets and double check when's best to take it (I believe at night is best). They really help.

That reminds me, I should start taking mine again

My Son either has a significantly more severe version of the cold I've just had, or he is presenting as having covid symptoms.

We've spoken with 111 who've passed us onto the out of hours GP for our area.

The most concerning symptoms are the 39°C temp, panting, the soft bit on the head is flush and curves outwards with each pulse, and he is coughing a lot.

The hardest bit is staying chill when Mumma Cav isn't and vice versa. I'm sure it'll be nothing but a cold but it's always better to be safe than sorry.

I’ve been accused of being a helicopter parent in the past but below the age of ~2 they can’t regulate their temperature as well and fevers/temps can turn fast. I had Byron febrile fitting when he was that young, so I always err’ed on the side of caution as well.

His temp is at 40 so thr ambulance is on the way

Ambulance advised many things you find find advised elsewhere... such as taking your child into the garden naked to cool them down. Well it worked and he was "happy" enough. He's still suffering the poor thing but they don't have any medical concern. Suggested that even teething could do this to him which is insane. When you touch or move him he seems in pain and will cry out.

Right now he's cuddling mummy's boob which is about the most comfort he's had in 24 hours

Alex really struggled when he was teething. Surges in temp, screaming out in pain, vomiting, not eating. It was a pretty tough time.

I never knew teething could cause this level of symptoms.. it's absolutely crazy. Terrifying when you don't know.

I've had about 1.5 hours sleep, thankfully the wife has had about an hour just now so we just have to manage the next day or two between us

Glad you know what's causing the pain, not knowing what's causing your child's pain is the worst thing ever.

Now, time to take out shares in Calpol, it's about to become your new best thing.

Little man is asleep on me... smiled for my Wife when she handed him to me too. Small victories!

Glad to read that everything's under control. As already mentioned, teething can be fairly traumatic for the littluns - and for the parents too for that matter.
By the third or fourth kid, all this stuff will be a walk in the park.

His temperature is borderline hypothermic now and he's clammy. Waiting for a call back from the doctor as we needed to do that to discuss Saturday night anyway.

He's managed to sleep a lot last night thankfully but he had also vomited up 3+ hours worth of food and pain relief so we don't know how much pain medication he's actually had now.

Still clinging onto the victories of him smiling although giggles are almost non-existent.

I've really struggled today. I miss my mum. I guess the first Christmas is the hardest.
