Had a spark of motivation, 50 press-ups before work... I gave up at 20.. lockdown has been cruel to my motivation...

That looks awesome 8)

Jess got another one last weekend too. She had an arm that has botanical type illustrations, already had the poppies and a bottle brush, and she just added a juniper sprig

You’ve heard drinking your sorrows away? Well today I shopped my sorrows away to facilitate the drinking once I get onshore.

Bought 6 bottles of gin online from 3 different countries. 3 from Aussie, 2 from NZ and one from Thailand.

Thai gin any good? It's not a place I'd associate with gin...or any other liquor for that matter.

Although it is distilled in Thailand, that is about as far as the Asian connecting goes.

look up http://www.ironballs.com

The distillery and bar was designed and is owned by and Australian guy who specialises in bar designing and learnt his distilling trade in London. The bar itself is an amazing mix of steampunk and indoor atrium. The gin is bloody delicious and up there in my top 10.

A work mate used to spend a fair amount of time in Thailand and stumbled on this place, he said it was unreal being in there. He left 4 hours later and quite drunk (drunk)

Just been over to New. CRoss hospital to take some things for MiL.

Nurse today would not let us see her (swear) but did have a good chat with the doctor on duty

They are giving her medicines and blood purely to keep her comfortable.

Plans are in process to move her into a hospice this week once a place becomes available. It’s the best place for her now.

Back from the second weekend camping trip in a row. It's very tiring, but lovely to spend some time away from the house with the kids.

Busy weekend.. chiropractor (so beneficial), and then emptying my workshop, cleaning it thoroughly and then organising it properly as I never got to that before. We had to bung everything in there when we had the house valued as it was filling up our dining room.

I've got a couple of organisers coming soon so I'll post up some pictures when it's finished. Hopefully 2 weeks time :D

Its taken a bit of pressure to do it, but mother in law was finally placed in a hospice for her final palliative care today. She will be 80 on Thursday, finger crossed she does reach that milestone.

Only the wife and her brother are allowed to visit due to covid restrictions but at least they can spend two hours with her each day now.

We could not fault the care she was given in hospital by individuals but the system itself is not geared to care for the dying. Its unbelievable that a supposed wealthy country is reliant on charitable giving to care for those who are at the end of their life.
