Apparently VW are very close to buying the Red bull F1 team.

Not a big F1 fan but always good to see a major manufacturer committing to motorsport (y)

Red bull have done well and had some good drivers. I worry that VW will be boring like the other German F1 teams.

They have plenty of options of what to call the race team branding.

Audi, VW, Bugatti, Porsche, Lamborghini..... :D

VW are the owners of all the others.

Porsche is still independent as far as I know Duke.

Not sure tbh. Would make sense but as far as I know VW is the parent company within this extended group.

I don't really follow F1 anymore but I somehow can only see them.going it for a few seasons then selling up. F1 is such a drain on funds can't see them wanting to invest for a long period

I'm unsure, companies always cut somewhere and it's usually the little guys. Bosses hate to loose anything!

Well if it was as boring as the usual procession today then I wouldn't want to sponsor or buy any team tbh.

Most exciting thing today was a bloke on the track :)

It's not a loss though Rossgo mate. They are gaining marketing, a desirable image and technology that are all key elements of their buisness plan.

They will also be writing a lot of money off as tax rebates and entertaining somehow.
