Personally I wouldn't use a 12mm chain as a main chain. I do use one to go through the rear wheel and the cover to stop people nicking the cover and to slow the thieves down.

But that's a good price for additional security measures.

Agree not the best on the market. Almax seem the best company if you want very high level security.

16mm chains are heavy and expensive but those with a top end squire padlock should stop 99% of thieves.

19mm is good but it's hard to find a ground anchor for them.

The hardie ground anchor fits with 19" chains as that's what I have with my 19" Almax chains.

It's all about Almax with a Y Anchor. Bbest solution to it in my opinion. The criminals would have to make a lot of noise to be able to get through one of those babies!!

I agree but you do have to dig up your garage floor and reconcrete don't you?

Yes you do and has to go down pretty far and wide. But it's worth it. It flush to the floor so nothing that sticks up that you can run over etc. Alex (from Almax) said he only reconmends the best that is tried and tested. In his opinion the Y Anchor is the best in his opinion
