Helmet intercom

having purchased a sat nav for the multi a while back, I now have and fitted last night an 'interphone' intercom fitted into the Shoei helmet.
I bought a Shoei specific model which has speakers that are designed to fit into the helmet and have holes in the plastic shroud so the liners can be clipped back in. Paired it up with my phone and can play all my music etc through it, a bit of a faff on but got it paired up with the sat nav eventually last night, really clear sound and fairly easy to use though haven't tried with my gloves on yet, need to take it out for a spin to see what the sound is like when im up to speed.

Yes it seems really clear but I need to try it at speed to 'really' see what it sounds like !!

The Nolan lid is all geared up for something similar but I've always stayed away from it as I don't want any more distractions.

That's what I was thinking. It's just too noisey, which means you'd need to ramp up the volume, but then your just probably gonna damage the ear drums.

I have a shoei lid and a sat nav, could be a good upgrade. Let me know how you get on after a road test too please mate.

This is where I got mine from, the shoei specific model has what looks like larger speakers that fit into the purpose made pockets in the side of the helmet, a doddle to fit tbh.

I find it less distracting to listen to the sat nav voice commands than to look at the directions on the screen. It was invaluable when I used my bike for work just to know when I had a call as you can pull over and answer it without taking your helmet off. Don't think I would have bothered with one without the need for work though.

Plus it's totally useless and a real distraction when on the motorway or dual carriageway.

As for music, the poor sound quality on mine combined with the wind noise made it just pointless.

I don't knows why you would want a rear view camera. I can't see race tracks allowing them.

If you're on a sports bike you don't need mirrors. You saw the car/bike when you want past it

Daytona mirrors are awesome compared to aprilia RSV mirrors. Mind you, I do know Ethan I haven't done my gloves up properly
