Biggest Photo Ever
It's a mammoth 1.5 billion pixel image (69, 536 x 22, 230) and requires about 4.3 GB disk space.
On January 5, NASA released an image of the Andromeda galaxy, our closest galactic neighbour, captured by the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope. The full image is made up of 411 Hubble images, takes you through a 100 million stars and travels over more than 40,000 light years. Well, a section of it anyway.

Re: Biggest Photo Ever
What a waste of pixels. I would have taken a mega cool photo of a very trick bike or a stunning beautiful lady with a top draw camera like that, total waste of good tech IMO

100 million stars, or 100 million possible life sustaining systems....

Nah, but we decide to visit someone to get a little oil and the world goes apeshit....

I'm almost certain there is life out there. They are just doing a very good job of hiding from us and who can blame them for that.Frankie wrote:Awesome.... And we think we are the only ones that exist! There has to be life out there!

Professor Cox recently did an episode about life in the universe. He reckons there's very little of it and what there is is unlikely to be very well developed.

Probably because they are embarrassed that their bikes aren't as cool as ours!Blade wrote:I'm almost certain there is life out there. Or they don't have the technical information to reply to the questions Blade is sure to ask them about the bits they've bolted on to their space bikes

And even if it is developed it could be so far away that it's long gone by the time we pick up any signals from it. Our own radio signals have only covered a tiny fraction of the galaxy never mind the universe.Kwacky wrote:Professor Cox recently did an episode about life in the universe. Re: Biggest Photo Ever
Has to be life out there.....I think it's an utterly selfish notion to think that we're alone....and one harbored by some religions, which is something else I have a problem with....just look at all the species of animals we have on this one little planet.
