Christmas shopping
So has everyone done all of theirs or have you got anything left to do?
How's your spending been?
I've overspent on Mrs Kwacky this year. I still need to get some small presents for her and for eldest kwacky.

Re: Christmas shopping
Good thing about being 3000 km from home and any shops, I don't and can't do any.
But I did drive 3 hrs the day before I flew out to pick up two massive bamboo palms in 3 ft high pots for the Mrs, close enough I reckon.
Kids had already been covered well and truly, and they got early presents the weekend before I left.

Re: Christmas shopping
We've decided not to buy anything for each other as we do have everything we are happy with. It's a low key Christmas for us this year. I don't think I want or need anything tbh. The kids have already bought their pressies and told us how much they want!
I've been and spent more on nice food this year, duck, steak, pork, lamb and plenty of seafood is all now in the fridge . Oh and loads of cheese and wine - God the french are good at food!

Re: Christmas shopping
All safely done, but have to agree have spent a lot more on more specialised food stuffs this year and indulged in a bottle of Cristal for xmas day lunch, as my mum is ill I've told her to forget the morphine and have a couple of glasses of that instead. I hope she enjoys
Live each day as your last as one day you'll be right !!

Re: Christmas shopping
Done nowt....whoever went into my accounts stitched me up pretty good, and I'm broke until my disability cheque comes in......which may take a while, as yours truly didn't fill the forms out correctly.
But it'll be a nice chunk when it does get here.

Re: Christmas shopping
The normal bits and pieces for people, but in the main I did a big shop on line with Amazon and ordered vouchers of various dominations which I will be handing out. Family can then get what they want, rather than something they have, dont want or can't use.....

^^ this. We don't do presents for the adults within the family though, only the kids. That cuts to cost and stress down quite a bit.Monty wrote:We've done the whole lot on the internet, that way nobody had to die.
Mrs Nutz did all the shopping for the rest of the family, she also asked for her prezzie early and even bought it for herself I do need to try and slip into town at some point tomorrow and pick up a couple of small things so she has something to open on the day.

Yeah all done here the missus does it all even my family, I just have to get hers and did 99% of that online so pretty easy tbh although I did over spend on Mrs Blade as she deserves it after shopping for everyone.

I had a mini strop about this last week. Mrs Kwacky said "you always get me really nice things for presents, it's a good job you never want anything otherwise I wouldn't know what to buy you"D6Nutz wrote:

I pointed out that I do in fact love opening presents on Christmas day, but I got so pissed off with people not bothering to try and work out what I would like, I gave up asking for any presents.

Re: Christmas shopping
The missus did it all this year.
She does about 80% of it normally anyway, but this year I haven't had a chance to help at all.
I did get some theatre tickets for the missus and kids.
So I've had it pretty easy this year!
