I don't know what they did to the last lot of fuel I purchased but it doesn't seem to go down!

I've used quarter of a tank and done 200 miles, the car should only get 400-450 miles range.

Average MPG since refuel is over 43MPG, consisting of 50-57MPG commuting (6 miles) and a few 1.5 mile journeys getting about 38MPG.



It's a shame my bike isn't road legal because I would probably commute on it. I've never ridden the road with a good surface (referring to the video I posted a week back)

MIne's the same - it suddenly starts to drop after a while - it's very optimistic then gets depressed and pessimistic.

thats a bit weird I went out to get some food after work in the MCS and thought fook me this juice is lasting for ages and I rag the arse off the poor little thing as well

Cookie, I have to admit I am pleasantly surprised with the fuel economy. Nearly as good as the 1.9TDI but it does that on short journeys. There's no doubting the performance either, obviously it's no M4 but it doesn't hang about.

Its certainly quick enough. I was tempted by the Cupra which is ballistic but really not needed on todays roads - especially with the dogs in the boot

I was tempted to throw a Revo software upgrade on it as soon as we got it and also a front splitter but I decided against it in the end. I think it would have been 185PS but torque limited due to the gearbox. They retune the gearbox too so in sport mode you get the snappy gear changes.

I think I'd have been visiting the petrol station a lot more frequently though

Thats WTi. And due to no storage capacity left in the US.

Brent crude is still trading around 25$ mark.

Maybe so, but it will drag European prices right down as it will be cheaper to import American oil in the next few months.

Strange and unprecedented times for the oil industry.

Mars US dropped to minus $30 last night. You literally can't get people to take the oil even if you pay them.

When did prices shoot up? £1.26 a litre. I think it was about £1.06 when I last filled up.

since the government started talking about relaxing COVID rules

It seems to have gone up again. It's about £1.36 near me.

I made a financially questionable decision to treat the car to a tank of V-power, 50L tank = £70!

It might be a little more lively, it's a 1.2 direct injection engine with a turbo so might advance the timing to take advantage of the octane or the extra detergents might just keep those injectors tip-top.

I treated the Honda to the posh petrol
