Totally Gobsmacked
James, one of my 9yr old Spudlets as part of a school project had to write to someone he admires, tell them why he admires them and ask them for a signed photo

That is mighty impressive for someone who must get so many such requests every day.

That's brillant! Your young fella must be stoked!!!
And well done the Rossi camp. But to be honest, if I was asked which of the major GP riders were likely to reply to such a request, Rossi would've my first guess. He's goodthe best attitude in the field. Marco's pretty good too, but Rossi has done the long haul and has still got it. Pity a bit of it didn't rub off on Casey.

He wouldn't have been top of my list, not because of who he is but simply because of the sheer volume of fan mail he must get. I take my hat off to him, I've always respected him as a racer and now I respect him much more as a sportsman.kiwikrasher wrote:But to be honest, if I was asked which of the major GP riders were likely to reply to such a request, Rossi would've my first guess.
What an amazing photo to have. I bet James is chuffed to bits.

Similar to others comments - if I'd have guessed I'd have said either Rossi or Colin Edwards, stuff like this is why the sport is better with him in it, thanks for having the time Vale.

Wonder if a 43 year old boy wrote to him telling him why he admired him that he'd do the same thing?

Maybe you should send him a special photo of yourself for encouragement MacMac wrote:Wonder if a 43 year old boy wrote to him telling him why he admired him that he'd do the same thing?

My missus wrote to Suzi Perry once on my behalf and she sent me a really nice birthday card. I was gutted I was hoping for a signed pair of knickers and a phone number
