A quick reminder that it's all forward 1 day. So qualifying is on Friday and the race on Saturday.

Yes mate 2007 went on the Chunnel to Calais then on to Amsterdam for one night then rode upto Assen for the Thursday practice, we camped on a site which was about 20 minute walk from the track and quite reasonably priced, great weekend deffo recommend it, the ride back was a tough one we decided to do it all in one day which was about 600 miles from the camp site to my door.

No company mate we just googled campsites for motogp Assen then just booked the Chunnel, a lot of people book the Ferry to Rotterdam as it's only a couple of hours to Assen but it's 3 times the price of the Chunnel, we went on the Wednesday and stopped off in Amsterdam for the night which was fun then rode up to Assen for Thursday lunch time.

Go for it mate I loved every minute of it from the minute I left home with my luggage and tent strapped to my bike, great experience, great atmosphere at Assen even in the town at night with beer tents everywhere and live bands playing you'll love it bud.

Saw a couple pull up at a resteraunt in Italy and sit down for lunch with a bottle of red. I know the Italians take their time over meals, but half a bottle of wine can't do much good for your reactions.

Personally I won't touch a drop before or during a ride and will bail in a ride if I had too many the night before
