You can get to most of Douglas and certainly Peel or Castletown via some back rounds when the roads are shut so it should be ok.

That would be the Thursday and the Friday.

Edit: Sorry roads closed on the Friday only and possibly the Saturday if the weather has been bad in the week.
If that's the case is it worth thinking about the weekend after mate ?
As it is i cant commit to that weekend this far ahead.

£200+ is a lot to commit to when i can't be 100% on being there.

Its bank holiday the Monday before and usually we go on summer holidays the week before that.

Roads are not closed definitely on both Thursday and Friday as far as I m aware the Thursday is only closed if Wednesdays racing did not go ahead and is a contingency plan to allow racing to continue.

Unfortunately I can't do the weekend after so if the group decide on that I will have to drop out.

Personally I think it will be fine as when I went there was no increase in ferry or accommodation costs. Weather is better at begining of September and the racing should only be the on Friday if all goes to plan. Possibly Thursday if Wednesday was cancelled leaving us sat and sun for riding which IMO is plenty and I aee watching the race and visiting the paddock as a bonus to the whole trip.

I'm with Blade and Rocket. It'll be good to see what the Island is famous for while we're there.

Its amazing Frankie I was totally blown away by how special some of the classics are. They must be priceless irreplaceable objects of motorsport history yet the owners lend them out to completely bonkers people to thrash the living daylights out off.

The paddock is always open and with a much more relaxed vibe and people always glad to talk.

Will be a real good addition to the weekend IMO as it can get a bit samey.
