She says she's fine, a little sickie but I think the steroids are masking a lot of whats going on ....

She has an appointment to see the wig specialist on Tuesday next week .... I think me and Bratty ought to go as well

Will her hair go quickly then? Glad she's bearing up. A temporary situation worth the effort

Theyve given us quite a comprehensive list of side effects but thats something they havent mentioned

They mentioned loosing the taste of food / drink etc but not teeth

Is that something we need to watch out for ??

I'm probably the last person you should be asking....I don't know how the treatments vary....my mate had leukemia for many years, and that was how it affected him....not much hair loss to speak of, but he was already well on his way to becoming prematurely bald. But his teeth decayed quite rapidly, and he would have to visit the dentist almost as much as the chemo.

Glad she is not feeling too sick the first bout of chemo. Her hair loss will probably make her feel worse to be honest. It might not mean so much to men but to us ladies it is our very core of how we look. It's something we can't hide from others when you don't always want people to know what is wrong

My Mums cancer is too far advanced to have chemo so the side effects I can't comment on . My sister in law when she had it did not affect her teeth but i suppose everyones different .

Good luck for round 2 and with all the support around you everything should turn out good

I think all types of cancer require a different cocktail of drugs which will produce different side effects.

All of them aren't pleasant, and need a good support system around them including Spudda and spudlets

From father in laws experience which was chemo for a different kind of cancer, the teeth loosening only happens when you have had successive chemo sessions over a number of years and even then they don't all just fall it. You might get the odd one come loose.

My mom had no teeth side effects last year and didn't lose all of her hair

Mark, my sister-in-law battled breast cancer two years ago and had no ill effects on her teeth. She's been cancer free for a year now.
