I've been looking at the weather at the weekend and wondering about the log burner, we changed from an open fire to an enclosed burner last year, big improvement and you're not worrying about sparks on the carpet the whole time and they burn fewer logs as well. Still got 90% of the logs I bought in February, it's the kindling is the chore if there is one.
