Feck all
Another piece of metal in the rear tyre
This time it's into the carcass.
Good job I'm getting it replaced but I could have done without this week. It's supposed to be the hottest week of the year and I've got to use the car

That's crap news. I guess the positive is at least it's in the old tyre before you get it replaced. Any chance of a repair so you can use the bike this week ?

I've got 3 of those kits with the mini air canisters. Duke once rescued me with one of those kits when I got a flat on the Speed Triple. Since then I've made sure every bike has one under the pillion seat. I've only had to use one since, that was on the CBR600rr but the repair was good and the tyre ran its natural life afterwards.

There pretty good as far as I know. I think Frankie used one and the repair last a good while if I remember rightly.

Oh no Kwacky what a bummer. Although like Blade has mentioned that is very lucky you didn't get the tyre replaced at weekend and therefore would then be in a new tyre.

If its an old tyre, plug it and fill the tyre with the sealant spray and it will be good to go.
Tyres places moan about the sealant but i was forced to use it on the Speed Triple once and when i watched the guy change the tyre afterwards. all it needed was for the wheel to be wiped clean.

Always carry one under the seat, last major use was the trip to up to that village in Wales....fixed it around Stratford On Avon, then it was ballistic spread to the services on the M5 to meet up with Mick before heading up to see you guys at the Raven. My thinking was if it lasted at flat out speeds on that bit of the run, I would use it for the whole trip.Blade wrote:There pretty good as far as I know. Ended up using the tyre on a track day and until it wore out due to natural causes lol....
