Those in power start these things with an idea of what they expect to happen.

The course of that war never follows the pattern of what the instigator expects.

There is a military adage that goes " No plan survives contact with the enemy "

I enjoy comparing biased medias against each other. Obviously we've all heard that the biolabs are related to cosmetic chemical engineering (the likes of shampoo and conditioner) from the UK mainstream media, the polar opposite story is that the US-funded (confirmed yesterday by the release of documents from the US president's Son's laptop and spoken about by American mainstream media) biolab has been used to experiment in creating super soldiers, something allegedly done a decade ago in Asia.

Turkey are reporting that Russia and Ukraine are still holding discussions.

There's partial agreement on NATO, Partial Disarmament, collective security and the use of the Russian language.

There's no agreement on Crimea and Donbas.

It's likely that the way forward is to agree for various issues to be put to the people of Ukraine in a referendum.

So in short, the United States has an ultra-secret super-soldier program up & running, and they decided to base it in, of all places, Ukraine..??? And to top it all off, the Russian military, who usually can't even prevent local peasants from stealing tanks, APCs, etc....have uncovered this dastardly plot??
Sounds legit.

Sounds legit.
The alleged reason for Ukraine is they don't have the same rules which prevent the US from doing it on their own territory. The same goes for Asia.

Another referendum.. they never end in tears nor are open to corruption. Is there any real world solution to this?

I think if the US was/is doing something like that then there's nothing to stop them doing it pretty much anywhere they want....they'd just hide it under a pile of bureaucracy & call it a matter of national security, etc.....so why do it in Russia's front yard?? Doesn't make any sense.
There's literally thousands of other places they could do it without risk of drawing attention. Putin is full of poo-poo.

I'm with Darren. The USA is massive. It's too risky to have something that sensitive developed overseas. It doesn't make any sense.

IIRC, more British troops died from American friendly fire than Americans died from Iraqis in the 2nd Gulf War.

Do you maybe have a link that could provide some figures with regard to that??
I know some strange statistics occur during conflicts, but that one seems very unusual.

I think it was something like a quarter of our troops were lost to friendly fire.

That's an unusually high figure....a quick google suggests the numbers have been consistently trending downward since WW2...well into single digits these days.
I don't know, but I'd guess aerial bombing & artillery shelling have got to be high on the list of causes.

Lengthy read but worth it. 12 on 2 in air combat where you can't even see your enemy yet you know they have active missiles. How only 1 Ukrainian died is astonishing!
