Yup, its a 2011 then, glad i checked with you guys on this before firing off the email.
Is it as a much of an issue now its a 2011 instead of 2012 model? i think the principal is still the same in my view.

Yes, yet wouldn't the VIN show it as a 2011 year model non the less as that's the year of manufacture?

I don't think there are any material differences between the 2011 and the 2012 models

Yeah, that's my understanding Kwacky, yet i suppose the 2011 vs. 2012 issue is still a good point?

Keep it in the letter but expect them to tell you it's not really an issue.

Kwackys letter is much much better and the one to use with subtle changes to reflect it is now a 2011 model.
Good luck with this but tbh now it's been identified as a 2011 model which is identical to a 2012 model baring colour scheme differences which tbh are extremely subtle I don't think you have much of a case. Still give it a go but if I was Jordans I would personally say you have 2012 registered bike with identical specification to a 2012 built bike, what's your issue. (Not meant argumentative but playing devil's advocate to show how Jordans MAY respond) If it had been a 2010 model it would be a night and day different story but 2011 to 2012 is the same bike in all but colour and even then its very minor changes.
If it was me I would arm myself with facts before entering into discussions. Get a professional to tell you the difference in value between a 2012my bike and a 2012 resgitered 2011my bike. At least then if there is a price difference you can argue your corner with fact not speculation.

An update. I've accepted Jordan's offer and the bike goes back tomorrow. Done. All fairly discussed and sorted now. It wouldn't put me off buying a bike from them again.
Yet I'd ensure all was 100% if buying remotely again with ANY trader.
Thanks for all the advice and listening to my woes.
On to more interesting things, I'm off tomorrow to try out a BMW R nine T...I'll keep you posted guys.

I think you should get it to a dealer and let them sort it out for you
